Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD)

(ARD) – is a special pre-trial intervention program in Pennsylvania for non-violent offenders with no prior record or a very limited record.

First Time offenders, including DUI offenders, with no prior criminal convictions may be eligible for Pennsylvania’s Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (“ARD”) Program. If you’re placed in an accelerated rehabilitative disposition program, you won’t serve jail time for the DUI, but you will receive supervision for a period of up to 2 years. If you complete the required conditions of the ARD program, your criminal DUI charges will be dropped. However, admission to the ARD program is not automatic and we highly recommend consulting with one of our experienced Lancaster criminal lawyers to discuss your options and whether the ARD program is right for you.
